WATCH: The Elite joke about NXT star spoiling The Great American Bash main event during BTE episode

The latest episode of Being The Elite had an interesting gem that saw some AEW stars take a jab at WWE NXT.

Matt & Nick Jackson, Adam Page, and Kenny Omega decided to knock the rival promotion for a situation that happened last week.

A Winner Takes All Match between NXT Champion Adam Cole and NXT North American Champion Keith Lee will take place on this Wednesday’s episode of NXT, which is the second week of The Great American Bash. The contest has been built up over the last few weeks, but the build for it took a hit.

The outcome of the contest was leaked by NXT star Saurav Gurjar, who is part of the tag team Indus Sher, in a photo that he shared on social media. For more on that and to read about WWE officials being furious over the leak, click here.

Nick stated that they may have lost in the ratings this week, but at least they didn’t put a spoiler up on Instagram live. This led to everyone laughing about it. Of course, this is the reference to the match result being revealed.

Omega was shocked that the spoiler came from their own roster. Omega then questioned whether they think the fans will like it, which led to Matt stating that it’s a bit on the nose and people in the comments will say not to mention it.

Omega brought up how they should stop taking cheap shots. However, Matt responded by stating that they (WWE) make it so easy. Page thinks people may like it.

AEW Dynamite has lost in the ratings war to NXT for the past two weeks.
