The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Adam Page) vs. The Inner Circle (Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Chris Jericho, Santana and Ortiz) in a Stadium Stampede Match served as the main event of Saturday’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event.
This contest took place just days following last week’s Dynamite episode that saw The Young Bucks make their return to AEW television after being home for months and missing shows.
During a brawl at the end of the show, it was reported that Matt Jackson had suffered an injury.
The Young Bucks did a dive onto The Inner Circle. This is where officials think that Matt injured his rib. At the time, there was no word whether it was broken or bruised.
Despite no medical update, Matt worked the match that saw The Elite go over.
In a post on Instagram, Matt’s wife, Dana Massie, confirmed that he did work the match with a broken rib. She wrote the following in the caption of the match:
“My husband is CRAZY. So thankful he’s okay (besides a broken rib)… that match was fun, but also super stressful to watch last night!!”
