Tony Khan has signed a wrestler to a new deal that will see him work for All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor. However, the presentation of this wrestler will have to change from what fans are used to seeing.
The signing
Black Taurus signed with AEW/ROH after he worked matches under the AEW and ROH banners. Last month, Taurus challenged El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship on three occasions, with two of those bouts happening in AEW/ROH.
Since 2019, Taurus has also worked dates for TNA Wrestling after making a name for himself in 2018. Now, he’s moving on.
Ink is dry
According to a report from Luchablog, who has broken past stories, Taurus will be working with AEW/ROH going forward as the two sides have agreed on a deal. However, because AAA owns the ‘Black Taurus’ name, he will have to change the character and name to something different to avoid a lawsuit, especially after they settled a lengthy lawsuit over the Luchasaurus mask.
The report noted Taurus is prepared for the changes to the character.
today I wrote about lots of CMLL announcements, the FantasticaMania tour, and the end of Black Taurus (but not the guy under the mask) https://t.co/7WUK007qRB
