WWE Reportedly Has Interest In Signing Popular AEW Act

The future of former AEW World Tag Team Champions Private Party is uncertain, as reports indicate their contracts are expiring soon and WWE has shown interest in the duo. Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen have been with AEW since the company’s launch in 2019.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the contracts for Private Party are nearing their expiration date. It is currently unknown if AEW will add any time to the deals due to past injuries, which could extend their tenure with the promotion.

Adding another layer to the situation, a report from Fightful in early June stated that WWE has expressed at least preliminary interest in signing the popular tag team. This interest from WWE was noted even before the specifics of Private Party’s contract status were known.

As of now, there have been no reports that WWE has formally approached Private Party or that they have entered into negotiations for a new deal with AEW. After a long absence from television, their status remains a significant point of interest.
