AEW World Champion CM Punk kicked off tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Punk started off by saying that “Hangman” Adam Page can come out to get his World Title rematch. When Hangman didn’t come out, Punk turned his attention to Jon Moxley.
Punk said Moxley is the third best in his group, a recurring thing in his career. That was an obvious reference to The Shield. Punk said Moxley is just an interim (temporary) AEW Champion but Moxley won’t test himself against the third best Eddie and 2nd best Kingston he’s been in a locker room with. Punk added that in Chicago, this won’t be the first “John” he beats in Chicago, a reference to John Cena.
Moxley went out to the ring to give his response. Mox told Punk that he only came to AEW because he ran out of money. Mox then dared him to fight and they did until security ran out to break them up.
