Young Bucks’ Recent Absence From AEW TV Had Long Been Scheduled

The Young Bucks’ AEW schedule has been a hot topic among fans in recent days after they noticed that they have been absent from television lately.

The Young Bucks vs. AEW storyline had been a main focus on television, but that quieted down after the Blood & Guts match. Bryan Alvarez previously reported that The Young Bucks’ current AEW deal has them working limited dates, which would explain why they’re not on TV every week.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “the Young Bucks missing two weeks, that was a long-planned thing. What we were told is that The Young Bucks had long been scheduled to take time off to sell the Blood & Guts injuries.”

Okada also missed the last two Wednesdays. In the Bucks’ case, they had planned a family vacation a long time ago with the idea of taking time off coming out of the violet match. Meltzer also confirmed their new contract calls for fewer dates than the prior contract.

Meltzer noted that AEW is mindful not to eat up too many of their dates early in the year.
