Young Bucks Wanted To Lose The AEW Tag Team Titles In A Squash Match

The Young Bucks had their third reign as AEW Tag Team Champions end on the October 4th episode of Dynamite to Private Party after The Young Bucks had retained the titles over Private Party at Wrestle Dynasty.

While speaking on the Tunnel Talk podcast, Nick Jackson stated there were ideas for an Elite Roulette match that would lead to a random team getting picked to face them for the titles. The Bucks also pitched the idea of losing the titles in a squash match to a certain team months before the actual title change.

However, he didn’t mention who the tag team was. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reports that The Outrunners were actually considered for this spot, with some in the company thinking it would happen. However, creative plans change to the Private Party getting the win.
