Roman’s Reign

Many have seen this coming since the 2014 edition of the Royal Rumble, where Roman Reigns was able to break the record for the most eliminations in a single rumble match. Roman Reigns was the last man eliminated by the eventual winner, Batista. The crowd was strongly behind Reigns at that time, but there was still chants for Daniel Bryan filling the arena. Fast forward a year, and Roman Reigns is on his own and on his way to winning the 2015 Royal Rumble. Daniel Bryan returned from injury just weeks before the Royal Rumble, and declared he would win the match to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Bryan’s dreams were quickly shattered, when he was eliminated before Reigns even entered the match. Reigns would go on to claim victory in the Royal Rumble, but not in the way anyone dreams of. Rains of boos filled the arena, and questions about Reigns quickly arose. Roman was put in an unusual position; one where a Royal Rumble winner must prove himself once again before facing the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan began to feud over the #1 contendership, eventually ending with a amazing match at WWE Fastlane. Roman Reigns proved that he was worthy of being the #1 contender, and hopefully silenced all the critics in the WWE Universe. It seems almost a gurantee now that Roman Reigns will defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. With Lesnar’s future is question, this leads many to wonder who Reigns could possibly face off against for his first feud as champion.
