Bobby Lashley being pressured to leave the wrestling business?

Bobby Lashley has been one of the bright spots in Impact Wrestling over the last few years. He comes off as a badass because that’s what he is in real life and his presence on Impact Wrestling television has been a big asset for the company even with the cloud that was hanging over the company last year.

However, if the recent reports are true then we might be seeing less of Lashley on Impact going forward. PWInsider reports that there has been pressure from American Top Team to get him to concentrate full-time on his Mixed Martial Arts career. The report claims that there were meetings on this topic and it’s been something talked about over the last few days at the recent TV tapings in Orlando.

Lashley, with a 15-2 MMA record, is a top contender in the Bellator MMA heavyweight division and is in line for a title shot. He lost the GFW vs. IMPACT Unification Championship match to Alberto El Patron at Slammiversary but he remains in the mix as part of the main event storylines.

GFW will go on the road for shows in the northeast on 8/4 (Long Island), 8/5 (Staten Island), and 8/6 (Bridgeport, CT). The next set of IMPACT Wrestling tapings are scheduled for August 17-20 so it will be interesting to see how many (if any) of those shows Lashley will be a part of.
