Alberto Del Rio, real name Jose Alberto Rodriguez Chucuan, was supposed to go to trial a few times by now.
It was supposed to start on January 25th then it got pushed back to May 3rd and now, Pwinsider.com reports it has been postponed until Monday, August 2nd in San Antonio, Texas.
The trial is intended for him to face one count of aggravated kidnapping and four counts of sexual assault.
It all started in May 2020 when he was arrested for alleged offenses. He accused the victim of infidelity, which led to him physically assaulting her because she refused to admit to what he was accusing her of doing. Del Rio got mad and “slapped her across the head” several times and “forced her to wear a dress and dance for him.”
The former WWE/Impact star threatened to take her son and “drop him in the middle of the road somewhere” if she didn’t do what he said. She provided photos of her injuries to the police.
Last October, he was indicted by a grand jury in Texas. Should he be found guilty of these crimes then he could be facing as much as life in prison.
