Taiji Ishimori was a popular face in Impact Wrestling and a former X Division Champion. But it looks like his relationship with Impact is no longer a thing.
Ishimori signed his release from Pro Wrestling Noah in March after 12 years with the company and some people were waiting to see what he would be doing with Impact Wrestling. Now it looks like our questions were answered.
One fan tweeted at Dave Meltzer asking, “So with Taiji iishimoore working with NJPW and doing Impact Wrestling tapings, will the two companies ever work together?” Meltzer replied saying that Ishimori is finished with Impact Wrestling which could still be a trend of the company losing talented stars. It was also pointed out that everything Impact Wrestling already has taped was done before Taiji left for New Japan.
Ishimore revealed himself as the returning Bone Soldier on May 4th and joined the Bullet Club. He is also going to be included in the 2018 Best Of The Super Juniors tournament so his dance card in New Japan is already filling up.
It’s highly plausible that Ishimori will pop up in many more places before his time in pro wrestling is finished. After all, he’s just 35-years-old and while that might sound a bit late for some people, in a day and age where some of the top talents in the world on in their 40’s he still has plenty of time to make a huge impression in the pro wrestling world.
He's done with Impact, all the stuff airing was taped prior to NJPW start. https://t.co/yRTj9NVLjE
