Bellator MMA President Scott Coker announced during an interview with ESPN that heavyweight fighter Bobby Lashley would fight for the first time in 2016. Lashley will be fighting at the Bellator event on October 21st in Memphis, TN at the FedEx Forum. This event will air on Spike TV. Lashley’s opponent at the event has yet to be announced.
Lashley (14-2) is currently on a seven-fight winning streak and is coming off a first round TKO win over James Thompson at Bellator 145.
Also announced for the event was former Bellator MMA middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko vs. Kendall Grove.
Lashley will be defending the TNA World Heavyweight Title at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view event on October 2nd in Orlando, Florida.
