As we noted before, TNA has been in talks with four networks for a new TV deal. None of those networks include Spike TV, despite what TNA and Spike have said publicly.
ProWrestling.net is reporting that Dixie Carter addressed the locker room at laast week’s television tapings in Bethlehem, PA. The wrestlers were told that Dixie believes that TNA will have a TV home on January 7th. She expressed happiness with the Wednesday night timeslot.
There were rumors within TNA that a new TV deal would be announced this week. However, one source noted that the news could come around Bound For Glory time. The most popular network name being floated around is WGN America.
The WGN America rumor came about because Dixie wrote the following on twitter on September 10: “Nothing like showers and high winds to impact traffic and my hair in the Windy City this am.”
It’s possible that she was in Chicago for non-wrestling business but that tweet led to speculation that she was there to meet with people from Tribune Media Company, the company that owns WGN America.
