The working relationship between AEW and Impact Wrestling has been underway for the past few weeks, which officially started when Don Callis helped Kenny Omega win the AEW World Heavyweight Title from Jon Moxley on an episode of Dynamite earlier this month.
Since that time, Impact has received buzz around the brand with the AEW World Heavyweight Champion appearing on its weekly television show on AXS TV. In fact, his first appearance on the program led to them doing Impact’s highest viewed episode of the year across AXS TV and Twitch.
Last week’s show saw Omega reunite with former Bullet Club members Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
Impact Executive Don Callis, who is the manager of Omega, has revealed the name for the faction, which is Super Elite. Of course, Omega Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks are known as The Elite.
Callis wrote in the caption of a recent photo he posted on Twitter, “Can’t wait for #HardToKill when this Super Elite unit rocks the world of @IMPACTWRESTLING.”
