It was reported earlier this week that Impact Wrestling star Eddie Edwards was suffering from appendicitis.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider confirmed that Edwards underwent surgery for appendicitis on May 17th. As far as a timetable for his return, it depends on his recovery.
Typically, doctors give a time-frame of around 3 months before someone can be able to return to physical activity.
Edwards teamed with David Finlay and Juice Robinson in a six-man tag team match to beat Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson last weekend at Under Siege.
It appeared he was in line for a future title shot against Omega this summer, but that’s not looking likely now. It’s already been confirmed that Moose will challenge Omega for the strap at the Against All Odds special next month. Omega’s opponent at Slammiversary in July is up in the air for now.
