Former champion says goodbye to Impact Wrestling

Impact Wrestling

Impact Wrestling

Another Impact Wrestling veteran is leaving so he can test the waters elsewhere.

DJZ confirmed on Twitter (first reported by WrestleZone) that he is no longer with the company and he is looking for new opportunities in 2019.

He issued a statement on Twitter and was gracious for the opportunities he was given while with Impact: "I would like to thank @IMPACTWRESTLING for the last 7 years. They gave me a platform to hone my craft, make mistakes, learn from them and grow as a performer. They stuck w/ me through difficult times and provided the opportunity to wrestle for a living."

The 32-year old has been wrestling since 2003 but he got his first big break on a national stage when he signed with TNA Wrestling in 2011 as Zena Ion. He later changed his name to DJZ when he aligned with The BroMans.

DJZ is a former Impact World Tag Team Champion and a 2-time X-Division Champion.

It would not surprise me if he got a call from WWE to try out at the Performance Center.
