Former Impact Wrestling star is returning to the ring in 2019

Former Impact Wrestling World Tag Team Champion Davey Richards is stepping back into the ring in 2019.

Richards wrote, “Any promotions I have missed dates for in the past please contact me so I may make them up to you in ‘19.”

Richards has gone back-and-forth on whether he should quit the wrestling business or stay in it full-time. In 2010, he said that he planned on quitting the business by the end of the year but later changed his mind. He became a trained paramedic and wrestled for several more years as part of The Wolves with Eddie Edwards in Ring Of Honor and Impact Wrestling. There was also speculation in 2017 that he was retiring when he asked for his release from Impact so he could become a doctor.

Unfortunately, he had to cancel the rest of his bookings for 2018 because he needed to undergo knee surgery. He also needed the time off to focus on his studies.

Richards is ready to step inside the squared circle and, at 35 years old, he has plenty to offer to the wrestling business.
