Mickie James has been teasing retirement in recent weeks, and it looks like an announcement regarding this decision could be made at the Impact Wrestling event, Lone Star Stampede.

The promotion announced today that James will make a special announcement at the television tapings from Dallas on Friday, August 26.

James last wrestled for Impact Wrestling in July when she got a win over Chelsea Green. Post-match, James told the camera crew that you’re only as good as your last match and she is going home. At the time, many believed this was purely a storyline retirement.

However, James has since teased retirement. The former WWE star responded to a fan on Twitter about being Asuka’s tag team partner for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament by writing, “No. I feel I’m done in wrestling.”
