Impact Wrestling is teasing that some new faces could be headed to the promotion and appear at the upcoming Slammiversary pay-per-view event on Saturday, July 17th.

Impact started the trend of bringing in new wrestlers to the promotion at last year’s Slammiversary. Just like in 2020, Impact has airing promos that feature some notable names such as Samoa Joe, Chelsea Green, and Mickie James.

However, Joe has since returned to WWE NXT while Mickie James is in the NWA. Green, who previously worked for Impact, is still on the free-agent market. Her 90-day non-compete clause expires in July before the PPV event takes place.

Fightful Select reported today that at least two surprises are planned for the show with outside names making their way into the company. It was stated, this includes one talent already under contract elsewhere and one recent WWE release.

The media outlet was told that fans should expect a "reinvigoration" to the Knockouts division in July.
