According to a report by PWInsider, Impact Wrestling is hoping to secure a new TV deal that will air their weekly flagship show later this year as they have had issues with their current network, Pursuit Channel.
The report states that the promotion wants a better home for their TV show in the Fall as several issues have led to the company being frustrated. Most recently, this week’s episode of Impact saw Rich Swann and Michael Elgin in the main event end before the show was supposed to go off the air. Pursuit Channel went to commercial and kept running commercials instead of returning to the broadcast.
The promotion did apologize for the error and added the full show to IMPACT+ app immediately. In the report, it was noted that this incident was said to be “the latest in a long line of headaches” when it comes to Pursuit. Other issues include Pursuit being slow to respond to Impact’s requests, and listing the two-hour show as four separate 30-minute episodes.
Impact announced their TV deal with Pursuit back in January. This deal came about once Impact had to find a new home to air their weekly television series after not agreeing to a new deal with Pop TV.
