As we noted on Thursday night, Taryn Terrell has pulled out of Bound For Glory where she was scheduled to wrestle in a Four-Way match against Gail Kim, Sienna, and Allie for the Knockouts Championship. That has been changed to a Triple Threat match. Also, Terrell pulled out of this weekend’s Legends of the Ring convention. It was announced via Twitter on Friday that Terrell and Impact have mutually parted ways and she will pursue other career options.
Terrell returned to Impact Wrestling back in August after quitting the business in 2015 and after becoming a born-again Christian. Her return to wrestling this year was a little bit odd because she had done interviews talking about not wanting to portray the character that she was recently portrayed on TV.
In 2015, she said, “I think that I have played, and recently, I have played an even more sexy character than I was used to playing, and it’s something that I prayed on and I know that’s not who I want to portray anymore. I know that’s not who I am and it’s not who I want to portray, and how can I connect with people, and sort of live that double standard. And yes, if I cannot find a way to use God and be godly in the things that I do then yes, it is time to walk away.”
Update: @IAmTarynTerrell & #IMPACT are mutually parting ways. Taryn would like to pursue other career options and she has our full support. We wish Taryn well in whatever she does next. pic.twitter.com/3PzY541t2u
