Impact Wrestling is slated to get one of its top stars back soon. Fightful Select reports former Impact World Champion Sami Callihan is set to return to action imminently.
It could happen as soon as this weekend at either tonight's Under Siege special or Sunday’s tapings from the Promowest Pavilion in Newport, KY. He has been on the sidelines since last fall when suffered a broken ankle at the Impact Wrestling TV tapings last September. He had to get surgery to fix the injury and was slated to be out of action until mid-2022.
The report stated he's factored into plans for Slammiversary next month and is scheduled to face another former World Champion.
Impact did air teasers at Rebellion with code that spelled out "Sami," hinting at the upcoming return. He last competed at the Victory Road special where Callihan and Eddie Edwards dropped a loss to W. Morrissey and Moose.
