While TNA never officially announced a tour of China at the end of May, wrestlers within TNA were not thrilled about it being cancelled as it would have brought in an extra pay for them. With talents now having to scramble to get dates for that ten-day period, there is reportedly a loss of faith in the company from the talents point of view.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that there are some in TNA that have told friends that they believe the company is all but dead when they got the word the tour was canceled. Also, some talents are putting out feelers to other promotions.
When talents from TNA reached out to WWE about possibly job opportunities, WWE has reportedly told them that they are not interested in anyone from TNA, even if they would be willing to go to a tryout camp.
While there is a camp in June, the talents feel that it would be a waste of time to even ask for a spot because that’s the current WWE mentality. Of course, there are exceptions and Samoa Joe is one of them.
