Sami Callihan is expected to be out of action for several months after he suffered a broken ankle at the Impact Wrestling TV tapings over the weekend.
Dave Meltzer reported the news today on Twitter. The Impact Wrestling star underwent surgery to fix the injury and it appears he’ll be on the sidelines until next spring.
Callihan has not confirmed the injury or surgery. The tapings in Nashville were for the Knockouts Knockdown special and upcoming episodes of Impact’s flagship weekly television show.
Although Callihan competed at the Victory Road special that aired this past Saturday, the special was taped last month. Callihan and Eddie Edwards dropped a loss to W. Morrissey and Moose at the special.
We wish Callihan a speedy recovery.
