Several Impact Wrestling stars not under contract, not scheduled for TV tapings in Las Vegas

Impact Wrestling will be taping more TV next weekend from November 11-13 at Sams Town Casino in Las Vegas but one of their top acts are not scheduled to be there.

Mike Johnson noted on PWInsider audio that The OGz (Homicide, Eddie Kingston and Hernandez) are not under contract.

Johnson said the following after Thursday’s Impact: “The one question I have for Impact management coming out of this is how the hell are Homicide and Hernandez and Kingston not signed to any sort of contract? I know for a fact there’s no paper on any of these guys.”

It is odd for such talented guys not to be signed especially with companies like WWE, New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor looking for more top talent. Johnson added, “I don’t understand how these guys are not locked in somewhere especially in the day in age where WWE is looking for Latin talent.”

You can argue that the OGz vs. LAX storyline has been one of the highlights of Impact this year and their match at Bound For Glory and they should get praise for working in that Concrete Jungle match at Bound For Glory and making it all work despite the limitations that come with wrestling on the exposed ring board. Johnson added, “I don’t understand how Impact doesn’t sign these guys. I don’t understand why they’re not used in a more prominent position. No matter what they are asked to do, they do it well.”

Unless things change in the next few days, The OGz are not scheduled to appear at the tapings that start next weekend. Johnson said, “One Impact source even confirmed to me they’re not even booked on the TV tapings in Vegas. I don’t know why. Maybe this was the way they’re being written out of the company, for all I know. I would hope not but we’ll have to wait and see.”

Kingston can fit in with any company doing serious promos or comedy. Homicide would fit in as a coach at the Performance Center and Hernandez could fit in with any company as a badass monster. Perhaps we will see what the future holds for them in the next week or so.
