At Friday’s Impact Wrestling TV tapings in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios, TNA World Champion Bobby Lashley officially unified the King of the Mountain Championship with the World Heavyweight Championship. TNA has retired the KOTM Championship and has introduced a new championship.

A new “TNA Grand Championship” belt was unveiled at the tapings, and the belt has its own set of rules. It’s similar to MMA rules as the TNA Grand Championship matches will go 3 rounds, and there will be a team of judges choosing a winner based on points if the match goes all 3 rounds.

The introduction of the TNA Grand Championship is expected to air on next week’s episode of Impact on Pop TV.
