Following last night’s Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill pay-per-view, Tessa Blanchard gave a speech to the crowd as they chanted “you deserve it” at her.
The speech was a mix of work and kayfabe and she seemed to address the racism and bullying allegations about her from other female wrestlers. She did not address anyone by name and she did not make direct references to what she’s been accused of but you can read between the lines in her speech. For those of you that were looking for an apology, she was not offering one last night.
Here is what she said and scroll down for the video of her post-match speech:
“Over the past 8 months, this has been my life. Sami, I know we have been the thorn in my side and tonight we did it. Nobody in this life is perfect. We’re all human. It doesn’t matter what you say about me. It doesn’t matter what you call me. I got one of the strongest minds that I’ve ever known. So whenever you come for me, you come for all these people and I am now the standard bearer of Impact Wrestling. Man or woman, pound for pound, I am one of the best in the world and I am now your world champion.”
