TNA and Destination America reportedly having issues over content

According to sources, the relationship between TNA and Destination America is not the best right now. Unlike at Spike, DA (Destination America) has no clue about pro wrestling. We’ve noted in the past that DA wants to dictate who TNA has as their champion, which is the reason Kurt Angle is now World Champion because they wanted a former Olympic Gold Medalist as their champion.

While Impact hasn’t been moved, there is a lot of questioning moving from Wednesday to Friday, which DA appeared to do because with Smackdown moving from Friday, they thought they would get the wrestling fans used to watching on that night.

The original deal was for DA to air several replays of Impact throughout the week, but obviously that has not been the case. Currently, DA is only airing TNA wrestling on Friday nights from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., with two airings of Impact and one airing of Unlocked at 1 a.m. Unlocked has now been moved from Saturday at 10 a.m. to Friday at 7 p.m. to Thursday at 1 a.m. Also, DA has dropped TNA’s greatest matches show, which aired on Saturday’s.

Dixie Carter is trying to push the idea that they will start creating more Internet content because DA will not air anymore TNA content on their network. Carter in the past as said that TNA needs more content, which was a problem at Spike.
