On a recent Wrestling Observer radio, Dave Meltzer was recently asked about Josh Mathews and the perceived attitude problems from some and if he thinks TNA would replace Mathews. Meltzer said that he doesn’t think Mathews is doing a horrible job but he has some days where he has been exposed on the microphone. He was signed by TNA because he has a history with John Gaburick from their days in WWE.
Meltzer noted that TNA has talked to other announcers so it’s possible that he could be replaced.
Mathews had an issue with Manik on social media just a few weeks ago. Manik has been pushing for TNA to feature him as TJ Perkins (without the mask). Here is Perkins’ tweet from a few weeks ago, followed by the response from Mathews:
For the record @IMPACTWRESTLING fans…I don't have an identity crisis. I want to be TJP, it's just not up to me.

So go away, bro. Just go. Enough. Tag all the executives & go. https://t.co/tDjT7aMAsw

Mathews would later apologize.
This is not the first issue Josh has had with someone on twitter. Here’s a twitter exchange he had with Jim Ross earlier this year:
.@JRsBBQ It was stiff, I get that. Sometimes you gotta call it like you see it.
