It turns out that fans nearly missed out on watching a new episode of Impact Wrestling on AXS TV this week.
Pwinsider.com reports that the episode almost didn’t make it to AXS TV in time to air due to the company having to cut out a match involving Joey Ryan. Per the report, Impact officials made it just in time to deliver the episode to AXS after the editing process came down to the wire.
The report notes that the situation was described as “another 30 minutes and we wouldn’t have been on the air, at all.” The promotion will also have to cut out material involving Ryan that was originally set to air in the coming weeks.
As a result, Impact will have to fill that time that was supposed to feature Ryan. At the time, the promotion felt that it was best to deal with Tuesday’s episode before future episodes. As of this writing, the company still has to figure out what their plans are for future episodes.
The promotion released Ryan after allegations that were made against him from the “#SpeakingOut” movement on social media.
Also due to allegations made against Dave Crist and Michael Elgin, Impact ended up releasing Crist and suspending Michael Elgin. For more on that, click here.
