This is a nice change of pace seeing how so many of Impact Wrestling’s talent seem to be taking off to seek their wrestling riches elsewhere. But it looks like two big names will be sticking around in Impact Wrestling for a while.
Both Johnny Impact (also known as John Morrison, Johnny Mundo, John Hennigan, etc) along with Taya Valkyrie have signed new deals with Impact Wrestling.
These new contracts will permit both stars to appear in Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground at the same time. When a new season of LU was announced it was also said that talent would be signed to less-strict contracts in regards to exclusivity. Therefore it looks like Johnny and Taya will be permitted to pop up on both shows under this new deal.
It is a good sign of things to come that they’re able to keep these two under contract. Hopefully, their display of trust in the company will encourage others to do the same. It’s been a rocky road full of uncertainty for Impact Wrestling but all it takes is a string of good news and those thoughts that the company is in trouble might be in the past.
The belief might still be that most current Impact Wrestling performers will leave the company sooner or later which will allow the now Canada-based Impact Wrestling to bring in more Canadian talents in the next year. But for now, it looks like Johnny Impact and Taya Valkyrie are sticking around.
