The full line-up for the second annual CMLL vs. MLW summit at Arena México has been set, with the event taking place this Friday, May 1.
The card pits top talent from Major League Wrestling against luchadores from Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre across a series of inter-promotional matches, with three MLW championships on the line. It is the second time the two companies have run a joint show at the Mexico City venue after last year’s inaugural summit.
MLW announced the line-up on April 16, with the show built around three title matches and several inter-promotional bouts. The main event will see Templario challenge KUSHIDA for the MLW World Middleweight Championship in a rematch from this year’s MLW Battle Riot card, where KUSHIDA dethroned Templario.
Elsewhere on the card, Shotzi will defend the MLW World Women’s Featherweight Championship against recent CMLL signing Garra Negra, while Bishop Dyer and Donovan Dijak will put the MLW World Tag Team Championships on the line against Averno and Euforia.
The full announced card is as follows:
- KUSHIDA (c) vs. Templario — MLW World Middleweight Championship
- Shotzi (c) vs. Garra Negra — MLW World Women’s Featherweight Championship
- Bishop Dyer & Donovan Dijak (c) vs. Averno & Euforia — MLW World Tag Team Championships
- Soberano Jr. & Ángel de Oro vs. Austin Aries & Trevor Lee
- Cavalera Jr. I & Cavalera Jr. II vs. Ikuro Kwon & Okumura
- Olympia vs. Lady Frost
- Neon vs. Diego Hill
