MLW’s Court Bauer offers to promote wrestling match featuring Mike Tyson

Boxing legend Mike Tyson recently announced that he’s getting back into shape to box again. He even showed off footage from in the gym where he’s been training.

Tyson has stated that he has plans to take part in a few exhibition fights. The idea is to box three or four-round exhibitions for charities to help out the homeless and people struggling with drug addiction.

This caught the attention of MLW (Major League Wrestling) boss Court Bauer. In fact, Bauer offered an invitation to Tyson to step into the MLW ring in order to wrestle.

Bauer wrote, “My all time favorite @MikeTyson is considering an exhibition fight? I’m 100% down to see this BUT what I really would like to see is Tyson finally get in the wrestling ring. @MLW would love to promote that match and in the process help some charities. How about it, Iron Mike?”

Tyson, who is a lifelong wrestling fan, has made several appearances on WWE television over the years. The most notable thing he’s done in WWE was back in 1998.

As seen at WrestleMania 14, Tyson was the special enforcer for the WWE Title match between Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. He even laid out Michaels with a right hand following the match. He was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
