TNA Wrestling’s search for a new media rights deal has entered a new phase. In a recent interview with TV Insider, TNA President Carlos Silva provided an update on the company’s negotiations, revealing that they have moved beyond gauging general interest and are now in “active negotiations” with an unnamed partner.
Silva indicated that, although there is no firm timeline for completion, the goal is for the new deal to commence at the start of 2026. “We’re now in active negotiations with a partner, and we’re going to work through that. I can’t really put a timeline on how long that will take,” Silva said. “The good news is the process has started. We’re no longer just talking to a bunch of people to sort of gauge interest.
Now we have an interested partner and working through potentially a deal for 2026. It’s going to happen as soon as it can happen. We were working on it as recently as yesterday, exchanging papers and trying to figure it out. We’re excited about it and keep pushing it forward to get this over the finish line. It’s done when it’s over the finish line.”
While Silva did not identify the partner, it was reported over the summer that TNA could potentially land on a station with ties to WWE, such as The CW or A&E. A move to The CW would make a great deal of sense, given that the network is the new home of WWE’s NXT brand, and the two promotions are currently in the midst of a cross-promotional invasion storyline.
A special “NXT vs. TNA Showdown” episode of NXT is scheduled to air on The CW next Tuesday, which could serve as a major showcase for the TNA product to a new audience and a potential new network partner. TNA’s flagship show, Impact, currently airs on AXS TV and is also available to stream on the TNA+ service.
The company is reportedly seeking a deal in the range of $10 million per year, a significant increase that would allow them to air Impact live more frequently and further invest in their production and talent roster. A new deal could also see the show move from its current Thursday night time slot, with a potential move to Wednesdays opposite AEW Dynamite being a possibility.
For now, the company is focused on its current programming and its biggest pay-per-view of the year, Bound for Glory. The show is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 12, in Lowell, Massachusetts. The show will be headlined by a cross-promotional main event, as TNA World Champion and NXT Superstar Trick Williams defends his title against TNA’s own Mike Santana.
