ROH World Champion Adam Cole recently spoke with Josh Barnett of USA Today while promoting Saturday’s ROH television taping in Atlanta. During the interview, he was asked about if he will sign with WWE when his ROH contract expires at the end of April. He said that it’s the same thing that has been the case throughout the process and throughout the journey when he has been asked. He noted that he has been asked this question more since he won back the ROH Title at Wrestle Kingdom 11. He noted that there are a lot of possibilities but he doesn’t know what he is going to do and that he is focused on having as good of a run as possible with the title and going over to NJPW is a top priority to him. “There are so many things that can change over the course of four months. I haven’t really thought about it too much. There’s still a decent amount of time for me to make my decision.”
When asked about rumors of Kenny Omega leaving NJPW and John Cena posting photos of Omega on Instagram, Cole said that he doesn’t know what it means and that it could mean anything. He knows that Omega is really smart and really talented and he’s taking advantage of the opportunities available to him as would anyone else. He noted that Omega created a lot of cool buzz and that Omega only knows what his future holds.
Cole also discussed Kyle O’Reilly being WWE bound and more. You can check out the full interview here.
