Newly signed AEW star Nick Wayne is slated to make another career moment when he makes his promotional debut with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
The wrestling prospect is set to make his NJPW debut next month at the All Star Junior Festival USA as the promotion confirmed he will be wrestling his first match under their banner in Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena.
The event, which will air on NJPW World pay-per-view, takes place on Saturday, August 19. He will be teaming with Jordan Oliver against Mao and NJPW stalwart El Desperado.
In a post on Twitter, Wayne called the debut “a dream come true” and how teaming up with Oliver was special. This is the first match confirmed for the show.
Wayne made his All Elite Wrestling debut earlier this month on an episode of Dynamite, a few days after turning 18. His signing had been in the works dating back to February 2022, contingent on finishing high school and turning 18.
