Chaos (Yoshi-Hashi, Gedo, Rocky Romero, Yoh and Sho) vs. Bullet Club (King Haku, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, Yujiro Takahashi and Chase Owens)
Haku started the match for his team and he still looks like a badass and looks great for his age. The finish was Haku locking the Tongan Deathlock on Gedo’s neck and then Tama Tonga hitting a cutter for the win. The fans popped whenever Haku was in the ring.
Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano) vs. Suzuki-gun (Minoru Suzuki and Zack Sabre Jr.)
As you would expect, things got brutal when Suzuki and Ishii traded blows during the match. Later, Yano tried a low blow but Sabre blocked it by putting his legs together. However, Ishii hit a clothesline on Sabre out of nowhere and that allowed Yano to get the pin for his team.
Taguchi Japan (Hiroshi Tanahashi and KUSHIDA) vs. Bullet Club (Hangman Page and Marty Scurll)
Great action. Page got the win for his team on KUSHIDA after Page hit the Right of Passage shoulderbreaker.
NEVER Openweight Championship
Hirooki Goto vs. Jeff Cobb
Goto won after hitting Cobb with the GTR. This was another brutal match with tons of really impressive looking power moves as you would expect, especially from Cobb.
IWGP Tag Team Championship
The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (Sanada and Evil)
This was another great match. Matt was still favoring his back at times. Towards the final minutes of the match, the Bucks accidentally hit the referee with a double superkick. Evil brought in a chair and the Bucks hit a superkick into the chair on Evil’s face. Sanada broke up a Meltzer Driver attempt. Evil hit a piledriver and almost pinned Matt but Nick broke it up. Fans chanted “this is awesome.” The Bucks finally hit the Melzer Driver for the win.
Chaos (Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito and Bushi)
Ospreay and Okada won after Ospreay got the pin on Bushi. Another good match. Great show so far.
IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
Hiromu Takahashi vs. Dragon Lee
Fantastic match. Takahashi won the match with the Time Bomb finish. Hopefully, Takahashi is okay because he took a brutal looking Steenalizer on his face. Match of the night and this will be hard to top.
IWGP United States Championship
Jay White vs. Juice Robinson
White seems to be getting more comfortable as a heel and was very aggressive during this match. At one point, White rammed Robinson into the barricade where Jim Ross and Josh Barnett were sitting. Ross was knocked out of his seat. Barnett got up and dropped an F-Bomb while JR said that officials need to get their shit together. Barnett got up and went after White but White walked away. Barnett settled down and walked back to the announcers table. White hit a low blow when the ref was out of position. Robinson hit White with the hand with the cast on it while the ref wasn’t looking. There was a big pop when Robinson hit Pulp Friction. White barely kicked out before 3 and the fans could not believe it. White was able to regain control with 2 half nelson suplexes and a blade runner attempt but Robinson countered and rolled him up for the pin. New United States Champion crowned.
IWGP Heavyweight Championship
Kenny Omega vs. Cody Rhodes
A ladder was used in the match including Rhodes suplexing Omega on the ladder while it was sitting on the ring rope. Rhodes dropped Omega on the ladder at ringside. Rhodes climbed the ladder in the ring but Omega caught up to him as The Bucks pleaded with Rhodes to stop fighting dirty. It looked like Omega would superplex Rhodes out of the ring and through a table but Rhodes countered and superplexed Omega into the ring from near the top of the ladder. Omega took over just as Rhodes tried to bring the title into the ring and Red Shows stopped him from using it as a weapon. Rhodes shoved Omega into the ref and then hit the disaster kick on Omega. Red Shoes was knocked out of the ring and that allowed Rhodes to grab the belt and use it as a weapon but he seemingly had a change of heart because he didn’t use it. Moments later, Omega was able to get in some offense with a pair of V-triggers and a spin kick to the back of Rhodes’ heat. Omega followed with another V-trigger to the back of Rhodes’ head. Omega ultimately got the win with the One-Winged Angel.
Omega helped Rhodes up to his feet after the match. Rhodes walked to the back. Omega grabbed the mic and gave the traditional post-match speech. He said that everyone deserved a second chance, even Cody.
Bullet Club posed on the stage area but Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa and King Haku attacked Omega out of nowhere. They brought him in the ring and the beatdown continued on The Young Bucks. Hangman Page ran down to make the save but he was beaten down too because the numbers were too much. Marty Scrull tried but he was also taken out. The attack continued with chair shots.
Cody Rhodes limped back out to ringside but he was there to save Omega and The Bucks. Rhodes was hit with a stun gun and Omega was hit with a piledriver from Haku, Loa, and Tonga.
