Hiromu Takahashi returns to challenge Will Ospreay at Wrestle Kingdom 14

Hiromu Takahashi is back in NJPW and already has a match booked.

At Sunday’s Power Struggle show, Will Ospreay successfully retained the IWGP Jr. Title over BUSHI. After the match, he cut a promo about who would challenge him next.

When no one answered his challenge, he started to leave when a video began playing with a time bomb vignette being shown.

Takahashi’s cat dolls Daryl and Naoru then emerged on the video screen where they lit a bomb that started a timer for ten seconds. The timer was set for January 4. Once it counted down, Takahashi appeared.

Takahashi came out to the ring where he cut a promo about how he would make the division more fun and then challenged Ospreay to a match at Wrestle Kingdom 14.

This comes after Takahashi was sidelined for 16-months after he broke his neck while taking a dragon driver from Dragon Lee at the G1 Special in San Francisco on July 7, 2018. He had to vacate the championship but is now looking to capture it once again.

The event will take place on January 4 and January 5, 2020 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.
