Jon Moxley recently did an interview with New Japan Pro Wrestling where he spoke about a wide range of topics that include why he signed with the promotion.
“I’ve always been a fan of NJPW. I loved their wrestlers and matches,” Moxley said. “When I was in Florida I was obsessed with watching Hiroshi Tanahashi and Minoru Suzuki. To me NJPW is pro-wrestling, and I knew I needed to be here.”
Moxley made his NJPW debut at the Best of the Super Juniors finals event where he beat Juice Robinson to win the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship. Moxley will wrestle the likes of Taichi, Jeff Cobb, Tomohiro Ishii, and Robinson in the G1 Climax 29 tournament.
