Jon Moxley sends warning to KENTA at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 15

Jon Moxley was featured on the first night of Wrestle Kingdom 15 although he wasn’t able to make an in-person appearance at the show.

NJPW aired a pre-recorded promo from the IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion during the show just before KENTA defended his IWGP United States Heavyweight Title shot against Satoshi Kojima on Monday morning.

“Many men have vied for that US title contract,” Moxley said. “But they all thought they were gonna get off easy. They all hoped and prayed that the United States Heavyweight Champion would never return. But I am the boogeyman in New Japan Pro Wrestling. I will get you eventually. So whoever walks out of the Tokyo Dome with that contract, make no mistake about it — I’m coming for you.”

Moxley’s promo was recorded from NJPW’s United States dojo. KENTA did end up beating Kojima to retain the title shot contract. Check out the full results from the first night of Wrestle Kingdom.

There’s still no date for when Moxley will take on KENTA for the strap. It’s been well documented that Moxley hasn’t been able to wrestle for NJPW since February 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He’s slated to make his return on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite.
