In 2018, Robinson said during a press conference that he had no plans to ever go back to WWE:

"Fast forward three years, WWE and NXT and all this shit. Everything that you guys constantly ask me about, I know because that’s what we talk about. We talk about WWE. But that’s in the rearview mirror now and guess what, I ain’t going back. I ain’t ever going back. It’s okay, because guys like Cody Rhodes, guys like Kenny Omega, more guys like that, Will Ospreay. Big stars. Big ‘independent’ stars. No, independent? You can take that and you can shove it up your ass. They’re stars, baby. Because I might not be a star yet, but I’m getting there. So titles do matter, and I’m doing my damndest to make myself a star."

Robinson is a former Impact World Tag Team Champion with David Finlay. He's also a 2-time IWGP United States Champion and 1-time IWGP Tag Team Champion with Finlay.
