Kenny Omega, who has not wrestled since December 2023 after being diagnosed with diverticulitis and undergoing surgery, returned to NJPW on Monday, where he appeared at the Power Struggle event.
Omega cut a promo about how he wasn’t sure he would be here and that after a talk with Hiroshi Tanahashi, the idea of him wrestling one of the young talents in NJPW came up. He said in a little while, he would be able to do it and would like to be back in New Japan.
Although Omega was unsure when he would be able to return, he asked, “How about January 5th?”
