A new IWGP Heavyweight Champion has been crowned as Jay White is the top champion of NJPW (New Japan Pro Wrestling).
The promotion held The New Beginning in Osaka event on Monday morning where White beat Hiroshi Tanahashi to win the IWGP Heavyweight Title. The finish of the contest saw Tanahashi caught with a Blade Runner on the way down from the top rope.

As a result, White becomes the 68th IWGP Heavyweight Champion in history. Tanashi won the title from Kenny Omega on January 4 at Wrestle Kingdom 13. Here are the results from the show:
