New Japan Pro Wrestling issued a short statement on the status of Kota Ibushi following Wrestle Kingdom 13.
The promotion announced that Ibushi suffered a concussion during his match with Will Ospreay. Ibushi was taken to the backstage area on a stretcher but the promotion says that his situation was not serious. There’s also no word on when the concussion occurred.
There was one spot in the match that featured Ospreay hitting a stiff looking elbow show to the back of the head but Ibushi was able to finish the match and he dropped the NEVER Openweight Championship. You can see the spot in the clip posted by Ospreay below.
