New match announced for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 13

A new match has been announced for the biggest event of the year for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), Wrestle Kingdom 13. The promotion held their World Tag League finals event on Sunday morning which is where it was revealed that Kota Ibushi will defend the Openweight Title against Will Ospreay.

At Sunday’s show, Ospreay won a number one contender’s match when he beat Taichi with the stormbreaker. The following match saw Ibushi defeat Hirooki Goto to win the title. After this match, Ospreay made his way out to the ring where he cut a promo to set up this big upcoming match.

Wrestle Kingdom 13 is slated to take place on January 4, 2019, at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan and will air live on NJPW World and air on Fite TV. Here is the updated card for this show:
