There was a scary spot during the Hiromu Takahashi vs. Dragon Lee match at the G1 Special in San Francisco on Saturday night.
Dave Meltzer reported on Sunday that the belief among New Japan Pro Wrestling officials is that Takahashi broke his neck after taking the Phoenix Plex. Lee was supposed to cradle him but he let him go and, as you can see below, he landed hard on his neck.
Takahashi continued the match but he collapsed backstage. We’ll post updates when we get them.
