Tama Tonga responds to critics after naming Jay White the new Bullet Club leader

With several key Bullet Club members such as Cody Rhodes, Adam Page, and The Young Bucks likely finding new homes in 2019, the faction is in need of a new leader. Recently, Tama Tonga took to Twitter and anointed Jay White the new leader of The Bullet Club:

“Jay White is now the leader of  …

“Take the lead  , we trust you.”

“The Real RnR 2.0….back to the roots.”

White only joined the group back in October at NJPW’s King of Pro-Wrestling show after he left CHAOS. He’s currently slated to face CHAOS leader Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 13 in January. However, it looks like Tonga has been getting some criticism for his decision to name White as the new leader of Bullet Club. He recently released a video firing back at those critics.

Tonga defended his decision by noting that, with White now onboard, The Bullet Club has a route to the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Check out Tonga’s full comments in the video player below:
