Hiroshi Tanahashi has signed a new deal with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The reigning IWGP US Heavyweight Champion will be with New Japan for the foreseeable future as the promotion announced today he re-signed.

During his tenure with the promotion, Tanahashi has won every active championship as he is the company’s fourth Triple Crown Champion and the second NJPW Grand Slam Champion.
He worked all three nights of Wrestle Kingdom 16 including when he and IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada defeated Keiji Muto and Kaito Kiyomiya in the headliner of night 3.
Tanahashi will be defending the US Heavyweight Title against SANADA on February 19th.
