NJPW has signed one of its biggest stars to a new contract. That talent is Hiroshi Tanahashi. New Japan Pro Wrestling also signed Yuji Nagata to a new deal.
Both stars announced the news via their official Twitter accounts, as seen here:
“The player contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling has been updated. I will do my best next year. Thank you!” Tanahashi wrote.
“Christmas Eve this year is really cold,” Nagata wrote. “It may be the coldest in the past few years?! [Laughs] Such a contract was renewed today. Thank you for New Japan Pro-Wrestling Hiroshi Nagata in 2020.”
Tanahashi as been with NJPW since in 1999 after graduating from the dojo. Tanahashi will take on Chris Jericho on night two of Wrestle Kingdom 14 on January 5th.
