WATCH: Chris Jericho attacks Tetsuya Naito during Wrestle Kingdom 13 contract signing

The latest angle between Tetsuya Naito and Chris Jericho to further build their program took place on Thursday during a contract signing at the final press conference before Wrestle Kingdom 13, which is called Fan Fiesta.

Jericho is slated to defend his IWGP Intercontinental Title against Naito at the biggest event of the year for New Japan Pro Wrestling. At the presser, both talents agreed that they would have a no disqualification match at this show.

After Jericho initially brought up the idea for such a match, Naito wouldn’t give in but finally did so as they signed the contract. This is when the future WWE Hall of Famer attacked Naito by power bombing him through a table before saying he’d end his career. You can see the career here:

This could be the last match involving the pro wrestling under the NJPW banner considering that his future is up in the air. Whether he stays in NJPW, returns to the WWE or signs with the newly launched All Elite Wrestling program remains to the be seen.

Wrestle Kingdom 13 is slated to take place on January 4, 2019, at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan and will air live on NJPW World and air on Fite TV. You can see the updated card here.
